I'm not a doctor, but if you can handle it, swimming a mile a day can have health benefits. This is the first week, use this if you have never swam a mile before

Missing DAY ONE Swim a quarter of a mile
0.25 mi
The first step of swimming a mile is conditioning yourself. You cannot just jump in a do it. To condition yourself, you need to work up to a mile. I started with a quarter mile swim.

Missing DAY TWO Swim a quarter of a mile
0.25 mi
Just swimming a quarter of a mile once doesn't condition the body, you have to repeat this several times. On day two, you repeat what you did yesterday, swim a quarter mile.

Missing DAY THREE Swim a half of a mile
0.5 mi
On the third day, you push it up a bit. Now you swim a half a mile. Don't give up.

Missing DAY FOUR Swim a half of a mile
0.5 mi
Today is just past the half way point. You swim a half a mile again, and get ready for tomorrow.

Missing DAY FIVE Swim three quarters of a mile
0.75 mi
Coming close to the finish line, pushing your body to the limit. Swimming is known to help the body in every way.

0.75 mi
This is it, the last day of conditioning. You swim under a mile for the last time.
