Swimming is another great way to get a cardiovascular workout. In this program, you should swim at least once a week for 20 minutes. If you are just starting, this might be a challenge. You can stop and rest during the 20 minutes if you need to, but try to work up to where you can swim for 20 minutes.
Swimming is most commonly performed as an exercise inside of a pool. Swimming works your whole body, improving cardiovascular conditioning, muscle strength, and endurance simultaneously.
