Description
You should try and do two workouts of cardio to keep your aerobic fitness levels high. Do them either after your weights workout or on the days in between. Regardless of whether you do the cardio straight after your weights, you should leave at least a day's rest in between your weights workouts. Personally I find running to be the best cardio exercise but I've included rowing, cross-training and spinning exercises as they're good too. You only need to do one 30 minute workout though, not all of them! Set goals on the machines and increase things like speed, time, distance and incline regularly to keep your body and heart working hard. I find the random programs that some machines have are a good way of keeping the body tested. If you stick with the same time/speed each time your body will learn to perform just to that level and you won't actually be getting any fitter. Variety is the key.
